"I'll get William and I'll take him to the day care for now," I said decisively. "I'll be right back."

And with that I ducked into the bedroom to wake my sleeping child so I could rush to the bedside of my dear friend. Funny, there was a time I had no friends at all. and now I had so many. So many that were more than friends...they were my family.
