Sam had dozed off for a little bit, while Jack was out feeding the animals and taking care of things at home. He hadn't really wanted to go, but he'd needed to feed their animals and check on things, and Sam thought getting outside for a little bit might be good for him. She didn't really feel like going anywhere yet, though. Mostly all she wanted to do right now was sleep, because when she was sleeping, she didn't have to think about anything.

It was just a light sleep, though, and she woke up when she heard footsteps. They weren't heavy enough to be Jack's; maybe it was Juliet, coming to check on her. "I'm okay, Juliet," she said, not turning towards the door. "Just dozing off."
