Should I Stay Or Should I Go? [Sam; TR]

Good sex. Best sex of his life. Really great sex. Only twice since that first time, counting this time, but Jack wasn't really counting. Sometimes, Sam even slept over if they hadn't had sex and oddly that just made him happier. But she didn't stay every night and she didn't grant him access to her hut every night either and that was...while not a problem, not ideal. Jack would prefer to have 24/7 access to Carter.

Probably because he was a sap and he'd never really been wired to get up and leave after sex but he tried not to hold it against her. She'd taken some big steps, after all, and while the initial leap had been big for him it'd been easy to wait in the middle while she came to him.

Once he'd caught his breath he rolled over a little, lightly tracing a hand down the curve of her waist.

"Staying tonight?"

"I've got the model I want," Jack said firmly, catching her beneath her chin to look her in the eyes. "I don't care what age you are."

"You sure about that?" she teased, taking the opportunity to get a firm hold of the sheet and stategically position it.

Jack rolled his eyes and pushed at the sheet again. "Do you wanna wrestle me for it, Carter? Because I'm pretty sure I'm gonna win."

At this point, Sam's positioning of the sheet was mostly to annoy him, and she'd apparently succeeded spectacularly. "Oh, don't count on that, flyboy," she said playfully. "I'm pretty good at hand-to-hand, if you'll recall."

"And I was special forces," Jack countered, grabbing her shoulders and twisting slightly to try and pin her down. "I think I learned a trick or two."

"Such as?" Sam said, but it all soon degenerated into a wrestling match that sent Sam into a fit of giggles, and she ended up on her back with the sheet all twisted up around them.

"I let you win," she informed him, still giggling.

"Uh huh," Jack said quietly, brushing her hair back from her face and leaning in for a long, soft kiss.

"Sorry. Just needed to do that, you know?"

"Don't be sorry," Sam murmured, sighing happily. She traced her fingers along his jaw and chin, then drew him in for another kiss. "I'm perfectly happy for you to kiss me anytime you feel the need."

"Perfectly happy, huh?" Jack asked, pushing at the sheet. "Happy enough to let me look at you when you get all blushy? Or am I pushing my luck?"

"You're awful," she informed him teasingly, loosening her grip on the sheet just a little. She didn't want him to think he could bat those brown eyes at her all the time and she'd drop the sheet, as it were... although she totally would.

Jack carefully peeled her fingers off the sheet, kissing each one, before pushing it down around her hips.

"Now. You're beautiful, Samantha Carter, and I'm a lucky man."

"You're such an exaggerator," Sam said, blushing, but she didn't grab at the sheet again, just letting him look. She felt a little self-conscious, with Jack just looking at her like that, but slightly smug, too, that she could get his attention.

"Nope. Just the truth," Jack said softly, tugging the sheet back up when he was done looking. "I just have a way with words."

[gate_expert]

"Mmhmm." She dragged her toe lazily along his leg. "And here you tried to tell us all this time you weren't a man of words, that Daniel was the one that should do all the talking."

"Well, he's got a hell of a lot more of them than I do," Jack said, shrugging. "But I can get inspired sometimes. When it counts, anyway, and you always count."

[gate_expert]

Sam would have said aww, but it sounded a little sappy, so she settled for snuggling against him instead. "I love you, you know," she said, not that she hadn't said it a few hundred times by now, but it was something worth repeating.

"I know. You've always been a smart woman," Jack said cockily, pressing a kiss against her temple. "I love you, too."

[gate_expert]

"Don't get cocky," she warned him, laughing against his mouth. "I'll put my clothes back on." It was an idle threat and she was sure he knew it.

"Not a chance," Jack said easily, nuzzling against her neck.

[gate_expert]

"Try it and see if I don't," Sam replied, and stuck her tongue out at him. "I can be up and dressed in thirty seconds, watch and see."

"Too comfortable," Jack argued. "I don't think you will. Besides, you like being in here with me even when I'm being an ass, right?"

[gate_expert]

"Yes, I do," she said, with a long-suffering sigh. "I like it a lot."

"Good thing I'm usually charming," Jack murmured, catching her lips in a kiss. "Right? Charming Jack O'Neill?"

[gate_expert]

Sam just laughed and kissed him back. "Yes, you're charming when you want to be," she allowed, sliding her hands down his back. God, if he kept this up he was going to get her going again, and it was late. "You're incorrigible."

"So, Jane's having a ball," Jack said, twirling a strand of her hair around his finger idly. "And I was wondering if maybe you wanted to go with me? Get dolled up and be a couple?"
