[TR] For Sam
It was hard to find places to go on dates on a deserted island and Jack was well aware it always required a lot of creativity. This morning, he woke up early and made the trek for coffee, bringing back two mugs (he drank his own in the compound kitchen) for Sam to have when she woke up. He put those close by before kneeling on the bed to kiss her awake. He always loved Sam when she first woke up in the morning and she was still hazy from sleep; Sam, in those moments, wasn't a soldier anymore. She was just Sam and had a sweetness he didn't think she could let herself have when fully aware and alert.
"Wake up. We've got plans today."

So instead of blurting out an acidic comment, she dropped the towels and cupped his face in her hands, kissing him, soft and deep, taking her time. "Does that feel like an obligation or a chore to you?" she asked softly, hands still palming his face.

Sam nudged him with her elbow. "I think you mentioned something about swimming?"

"Where'd you find this spot, Sam? Been keeping it hidden from me?"

"I was just gonna head down to where everyone usually swims. Nothing all fancy like this."

"I don't care if you marry me, Sam Carter. As long as you're not gonna leave me, and you love me, we're okay."
